Arne Slot has denied reports Liverpool and Feyenoord have reached an agreement that will see him become Jurgen Klopp’s successor at Anfield.
The Dutchman is poised to take the reins on Merseyside when Klopp steps down at the end of the season with reports last week claiming the two clubs have agreed a compensation package, with Feyenoord initially turning down an offer worth £7.7million.
Feyenoord have three more games of their season left with Slot quizzed on his imminent move to the Premier League on Friday ahead of the weekend clash against PEC Zwolle.
He told Dutch media: ‘Nothing has been officially confirmed yet. I’m sitting here with the Feyenoord emblem on my chest, so in principle the intention is that it’s all about Feyenoord.
‘I have said before that I am confident that it will be done. I don’t know when that will be. But I expect an agreement will be reached.’
