Blue Lights fans issued the same complaints just minutes into the latest episode. The BBC crime drama returned on Monday (April 22) as the second episode of series two aired.

Moments into the nail-biting show, constable Annie Conlon (Katherine Devlin) and newcomer Frank Blake received a call about a fire. As they approached the burning building, Annie questioned where the fire service was.

They panicked when they discovered the fire service would take longer than five minutes. Shane said he would go inside while Annie could wait for them, however, she insisted on following him after learning two people were trapped.

They removed their jackets and wrapped them around their nose and mouths before walking into the flames. They managed to rescue a mother and son who were upstairs before the house exploded.
