BBC fans of ‘best crime drama ever’ have huge concern about series 2 [Video]

Blue Lights fans have been lapping up the ‘terrific’ crime drama’s second season but fear it will end with a gruesome twist.

The latest instalment of the BBC series follows response officers deal with the psychological effects of relentless and punishing police work in Belfast, which is awash with drugs and beset by street crime.

Starring Siân Brooke, Katherine Devlin, and Nathan Braniff, Blue Lights has been compared to Line of Duty by critics and has attracted hordes of viewers impressed by its accurate ‘reflection of society.’

Last night, the police procedural returned to linear channel BBC One, with many fans stating they were resisting ‘binging’ the whole series, which landed on iPlayer.

But amid all the merriment, some were concerned there could be a repeat of a devastating moment in season one. Fan-favourite character Gerry (Richard Dormer) was brutally and unexpectedly shot dead by local gangster Sully (Art Campion) on a routine patrol.
