FANS were left confused when Real Madrid nearly scored after taking a throw-in with a ball already on the pitch.
The controversial incident occurred during the 13th minute of Madrid’s incredible victory at the death against Bayern Munich to seal their place in the Champions League final.
The flashpoint began when Eric Dier cleared the ball down the touchline with his left foot.
It appeared to go out of play, before arcing back in.
With the original ball at Antonio Rudiger‘s feet, Real Madrid were allowed to quickly get on with things at the other end of the pitch.
Where it had originally gone out they took a throw-in with another ball and launched an attack.
Rudiger quickly poked the original ball out of play, with his team-mates coming a whisker away from opening the scoring.
