IRELAND is set for more sunny spells as the mercury rises – before a major switch this weekend.
Sizzling temperatures could climb as high as 22C on Saturday before rain and thunder take over just 24 hours later.
Met Eireann’s Siobhan Ryan said: “It’s a good news story, really out until the end of the weekend.
“High pressure dominating our weather, lots of dry conditions, light winds and temperatures improving day on day with more in the way of sunshine too.”
But there will be a turn by next week.
Siobhan warned: “Later this weekend, there are indications that conditions will become more unsettled.”
The forecaster said today will bring a “good deal of dry weather” with overall cloudy conditions and warm spells of hazy sunshine.
