Jacob Rees-Mogg issues grave warning to Tories and sets out only way to win election | Politics | News [Video]

Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg warned the “thumping” suffered by the Tories at the local elections will be repeated at the general election unless the party becomes more conservative.

The former Cabinet minister called for change as he said the Conservatives have “no vision”.

Sir Jacob urged for more action to tackle both legal and illegal migration, an end to the “war on the motorist” and to not “kowtow to the woke agenda”.

Speaking on his GB News show, he said: “Last week’s election results were a thumping defeat for the Tories, and a warning of what is likely to follow at a general election.

“Although Labour under Keir Starmer is not as popular as New Labour under Blair, the electorate is wary of a Conservative Party that has no vision.

“All we seem to offer is an arguably competent management of the status quo, which the Labour Party seeks to mimic.”
