BARNSDALL, Okla. — A church in Barnsdall is offering hot lunch and dinner to those impacted by Monday night’s tornado.
Mercy Chefs is preparing hundreds of meals that are being served at the Lighthouse Family Worship Center, located a few miles away from the tornado damage in Barnsdall.
People can also take personal hygiene products such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and soap.
Meals are sent to Bartlesville as well.
FOX23 spoke with Mercy Chefs about the reason they wanted to help out.
Chef Johnathan White said he’s used to cooking for large groups.
“We’ve been to Israel together,” he said. “We’ve been to Ukraine together. There’s no difference, it’s feeding people.”
He’s one of the many people who are helping.
“We use the freshest ingredients we can source and utilize local volunteers as well, as much as we can,” White said.
