GRAND HAVEN, MI – Family-run restaurant Stack’s has been a local favorite to grab a taste of Chicago along the lakeshore since opening in 2006.

Located at 1050 Jackson St. in Grand Haven, the family still gets their ingredients like Vienna beef hot dogs, Turanno rolls, and hot giardiniera straight from the Windy City, according to the restaurant’s website.

The staple spot has been passed down through the family, initially beginning with Chicago native Jerry Stack and his wife Joanne, and then their daughters Jennifer Vargo and Jackquelyn Nix.

Nix told MLive/Muskegon Chronicle that Stack’s is still known for their two signature eats: the Italian beef sandwich for $8.20 and the Chicago-style hot dog for $5.25.

“You can’t get it anywhere else in town,” she said. “It’s the real deal. Any Chicago native will taste our Chicago dog and Italian beef sandwich and think it’s spot on.”
