Moment Britain’s FBI arrest suspected people-trafficker ‘from Iraq’, 38, accused of organising small boat Channel crossings [Video]

This is the moment officers swoop on an address today in Lancashire to arrest a man accused of organising perilous small boat crossings across the Channel.  

The 38-year-old, who claimed to be an Iraqi national, limps as he is led away by an National Crime Agency (NCA) officer holding onto his arm, while another heavily-armoured cop walks beside him carrying two metal crutches.  

He was detained this morning in the Stefano Road area of Preston, on suspicion of facilitating illegal immigration to the UK.

Officers carried out the morning raid where they seized phones and documents.

The NCA said the arrest relates to two small boat crossings made from France to the UK in November and December 2023, which are the subject of an investigation.
