SLINGER, Wis. (CBS 58) — There may be no snow in your backyard, but that doesn’t mean you can’t hit the slopes. Little Switzerland Ski Resort says business is still sliding in.
Snow in Wisconsin is normally a shoo-in, but this isn’t your typical winter.
“It’s a little strange I would say,” said skier Brian Fisher.
The only snow you’ll see in the state is the snow on the Little Swiss hills.
“We’re lucky to be open and, we’re happy to be open,” said Brandon Wagner, the marketing manager at Little Swiss.
For Little Swiss, there’s a few months out of the year that’s crucial for business. Wagner says there’s a couple hundred skiers on the slopes. Around Christmas week, there’s usually thousands.
“We’re hoping the demand shows up in January and February once we get those cold temperatures,” said Wagner.
