Wow, what have we just witnessed?

That was Champions League drama at its very best. Elation for Real Madrid, despair for Bayern Munich.

There is just something about Madrid, isn’t there? They always manage to find a way. They left it late once again, but as always, got the job done.

However, the silliness reached new heights tonight, as it was former Stoke and Newcastle striker, Joselu, who turned out to be the hero.

The substitute came on in the 81st minute and netted a brace late on to turn the tie in Real Madrid’s favour. Who’d have thought it? I certainly wouldn’t have.

Bayern had their backs up against the wall for the majority of the night but after Alphonso Davies netted a crackerjack from nowhere, and Madrid had a goal disallowed, it looked like it might be their night.
