Spate of arrests over China espionage allegations in Europe | The World

Several nations in western Europe have been involved in a series of incidents involving allegations of Chinese spying. Germany has become the latest country caught up, with the arrest of an aide to a member of the European parliament. It comes days after three German nationals were arrested in a separate case on suspicion of handing over military tech to China. Assistant Professor in the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham, Dr Dan Lomas tells The World’s Yvonne Yong we’re starting to see China flex its muscles when it comes to ‘influence operations’.
