Train Service Launched to Explore the World Heritage Site of Lake Neusiedl [Video]

The Lake Neusiedl train service between Sopron (northwestern Hungary) and Neusiedl am See in Austria will run from April to August this year. The aim is to offer an environmentally friendly way to visit the Hungarian and Austrian side of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lake Neusiedl (Hungarian: Fertő tó).

The trains will run on Saturdays and Sundays, the first one departing from Sopron on Saturday, and will run until August 25, according to GYSEV (Raaberbahn, a Hungarian-Austrian railway company).

The railway company has set up the timetable to ensure optimal connections to the Lake Neusiedl trains for tourists coming from Győr (in northwestern Hungary) or Budapest and Szombathely or Szentgotthárd (both in western Hungary).

The trains can be used by purchasing a Lake Neusiedl train ticket, also providing free bicycle transport,

they added.

A flight attendant has revealed the real reason why they greet passengers as they board a plane. TikTok user Rania, from Austria, filmed footage of herself working on a Wizz Air flight. She says that crew members say "hello" to passengers to assess whether or not they are fit to board. Rania says flight attendants will check if someone is too drunk or sick to fly. The Transportation Security Administration says travellers may bring less than or equal to 3.4oz/100 ml of alcoholic beverages in carry-on luggage on flights.
